Palestine confirms seven deaths and 612 new coronavirus cases

Palestine recorded seven deaths and 612 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Monday.

The new deaths involved one in Hebron; one in Bethlehem; one in Ramallah and al-Bireh; one in the suburbs of Jerusalem; one in Qalqilya; and two in Nablus.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 93.8 percent, while the active case rate is 5.1 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 48 in Salfit; 84 in Hebron; 46 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 10 in Qalqilya; 72 in Nablus; 32 in Tulkarm; 10 in Tubas; 53 in Bethlehem; 32 in Jenin; 160 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; nine in Jericho and Aghwar; and 53 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 22 in Salfit; 10 in Hebron; 47 in the suburbs of Jerusalem; three in Qalqilya; 62 in Nablus; 11 in Tulkarm; nine in Tubas; zero in Bethlehem; zero in Jenin; 50 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; two in Jericho and al-Aghwar; and 216 in Gaza Strip.

Currently, 56 people are in the Intensive Care Unit and 16 are on ventilators.

A total of 4,533 PCR tests were conducted.
